Stamp Out Suicide Yorkes · Connect. Support. Save lives.

SOS Yorkes is a community initiative focused on suicide prevention, mental health support and emotional wellbeing across the Yorke Peninsula. Reach Out SA exists to make their work — and the help around it — easier to find from the southern towns.

“In regional Australia, where the distance between people can feel far, connection is the key to saving lives.”

SOS Yorkes

Building a stronger community

Founded in 2015, SOS Yorkes works so the peninsula can be a compassionate, respectful, resilient place where people can flourish. They share knowledge about mental health and suicide, reduce stigma, and help people feel seen, valued and connected.

Awareness, skills and care

They run Mental Health First Aid workshops, campaign for more local services, and teach the community how to notice distress and step in. They also support people in crisis and those living with loss.

The Blue Tractor Tour

The Blue Tractor Tour travels the peninsula as a quiet reminder that it is okay to ask for support — and that conversation saves lives.

This is a quiet place to start. It is not a substitute for professional help. Nothing is stored. You do not need to share your name.

We acknowledge Aboriginal peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the many Countries across South Australia, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. This tool is for regional, rural and outskirts communities — not Adelaide metro.
